As a human, we all have some different kind of belief in terms of skill. We often try to find those people who have some shot of unique skill. When I was in high school, I don’t know how many times I heard the word ‘talent’. Likewise, some students are good at maths so, others are good at besides maths. And teachers are often talking about gifted talent whenever they talk about student’s abilities. It’s not only the topic of school perhaps, the entire society believes in some shot of talent or gift of God. But the question arises here: is a talent only comes from God, or there is something we ignore about talent. People often describe talent as a unique sense of ability or skill, which is not easy for any normal individual.

A talent is a form that only came from God no one can master it on its own. If someone has good skill of talking, you need to understand that you can’t master it. Because God doesn’t give you that. But what I don’t understand that why some people just don’t believe in talent. Growing up I see a bunch of people who are below average but become the most skillful person in their field. What certainly they do that help them to be a skillful or talented person. Then, I started to do some research and find out that they don’t even know the word ‘talent’. I say “What, you don’t know the word talent” then he replied, “it’s not about the word ‘talent’ it’s about the myth ‘talent’.” Then I ask “so, what did you believe in” he smile and reply peacefully “I believe in hardship.” What he tries to explain to me is that rational people always try, fail, and give up because they believe in talent. But on the other hand, irrational people always try, fail, and fail again until they succeed. We often believe that success is the only option in this world perhaps, it’s totally wrong. How can you expect that a 6 months baby walk like an adult without falling? It’s completely unnecessary to even suppose. You cannot play tennis like Roger Federer on your first day, because you don’t have that kind of skill. Roger Federer is Roger Federer, because of his hard work and passion for tennis not any kind of God gift or talent. Just for a sec; sit and think about your role model or idol, what they generally talk about then you get your answer. There is no single successful person who believes in talent instead of hard work. These people always trust the process of learning and growing in life. Then, you say “but I know some people who do critical things in an easy manner.” of course they do because they have grown up like that to do critical things. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t do that, you can do way more critical things all you have to believe in hard work. Hard work always paid to those who didn’t lose their hope in failure. I read a wonderful quote yesterday about the hardship that says “ The moment you scared to jump, that’s when you have to jump otherwise you end up alone.”

By all it means is that you have to be consistent irrespective of failure. And try to be practical, not some kind of freak who always trusts other opinions. Find your passion or interest so that you will do your hardship to achieve that specific desire. In the end, I just wanna tell you that be healthy and care about yourself. We often feel very anxious that causes us anxiety and depression. So, beware of these consequences and practice meditation to calm down.
